Carolina Tiger Rescue
Carolina Tiger Rescue is a nonprofit wildcat sanctuary in Pittsboro that offers public tours and field trips and is home to rescued tigers, lions, cougars, leopards, caracals, servals, bobcats and other wild animals (oh my!)

Green Chair Project
The Green Chair Project is a local organization that reuses donated furnishings to renew the lives of participants referred from area programs who are recovering after homelessness, crisis or disaster. Scholars helped on their donation day.

Service Raleigh
Service Raleigh is an annual citywide day of service started in 1998. It is co-sponsored by the Park Scholars and Goodnights Scholars programs. Each year, volunteers from the university and surrounding community unite to undertake a variety of projects, each of which provides much needed assistance to local organizations.
