Goodnight Scholars Program Select Finalist for Transfer Class of 2025

The Goodnight Scholars Program at NC State University announces the 97 finalists who will participate in the Program’s annual Transfer Finalist Interview Day, taking place on April 23rd, 2022. This is the largest group of transfer finalists in the history of the program. From the finalist group, 50 students will be invited to join the Goodnight Scholars Program’s Transfer Class of 2025.

Last year, the Program announced that it would be doubling its transfer population, increasing the transfer cohort size from 25 to 50. To be eligible, applicants must transfer from one of North Carolina’s 58 community colleges into one of NC State’s STEM or STEM-education majors.

After two years of hosting the interview day virtually, the Program is excited to welcome transfer finalists back to campus. They have planned a fantastic day packed with opportunities for finalists to engage with current Goodnight Scholars, professional staff, and university partners.

The 97 finalists represent 31 community colleges, 40 counties, and 6 of NC State’s academic colleges. Finalist applications were reviewed by a volunteer committee consisting of current and former NC State faculty, staff, and alumni, as well as industry partners. Each finalist demonstrated exceptional accomplishments including outstanding academic achievement, leadership and involvement, community and civic engagement, and an affinity for STEM and education.
