Goodnight Scholars Program Announces the Transfer Class of 2025

The Goodnight Scholars Program at NC State revealed the 51 recipients from 30 North Carolina counties selected for its new transfer cohort of scholars. The transfer class of 2025 marks the largest transfer cohort in program history.

Recipients participated in a thorough selection process over the spring semester, which included an application and interview with a volunteer committee consisting of current and former NC State faculty, staff, and alumni, as well as industry representatives from SAS.

The Goodnight Scholarship is valued at $22,000 per year for up to three years ($66,000) for transfer students. The cohorts receive access to a comprehensive student development program that includes weekly programming, exclusive travel opportunities, and enrichment grant funding. Students will also receive a transfer specific transition seminar course starting Fall 2022.

The transfer class of 2025 demonstrated exceptional accomplishments during their respective community college careers including stellar academic achievement, memberships in national honors societies, and involvement in student organizations. The class features students with impressive accolades including principal dancers within the Carolina Ballet, President’s and Dean’s List honorees, Goldwater scholarship recipients, military servicemen, and being parents of the future generation.
