The Goodnight Scholarships office presents our 2025-2026 annual report! 

A defining feature of the Goodnight Scholarships Office over the past decade has been growth – in our student population, which has doubled; in our scholarship and enrichment funding; in our programming, travel, and leadership opportunities; in our professional team; and even in our physical footprint in Peele Hall.

To match this expansion, we formally split our professional team into two dedicated units this year: one for the Goodnight Transfer Scholars Program and one for the Goodnight Scholars Program. We expanded our team, welcomed our largest-ever cohorts of 101 freshmen and 60 transfer students, and celebrated the opening of our new Transfer Den and offices in 208 Peele. As the Goodnight Transfer Scholars Program forged its distinct identity with new traditions, policies and spaces, the Goodnight Scholars Program launched fresh initiatives to maintain a robust community as its cohort size doubled.

Navigating this expansion with intentionality required the creativity and dedication of our professional team, alongside the ongoing support and feedback of our entire Goodnight community. We couldn’t be prouder of these efforts, nor more grateful for the opportunity to serve an increasing number of deserving North Carolina students each year. Continuous growth may be our foundation, but continuous improvement remains our standard.
