The Goodnight Scholars Program at NC State University revealed 100 finalists who will participate in the Program’s 6th annual Finalist Interview Day, scheduled for February 29, 2020 at the James B. Hunt Jr. Library on Centennial Campus.

From the Finalist Interview Day, 50 students will be invited to join the Goodnight Scholars Program’s Class of 2024.

“We’re excited to once again welcome an outstanding group of finalists and their guests to campus,” said Allison Medlin, director of the Goodnight Scholars Program. “Our staff and students look forward to it each year. Not only do we get to meet future members of our community, but we also get to showcase what makes NC State such a fantastic place, particularly for future scientists, engineers, and educators.”

The 100 finalists were selected from a pool of 850 candidates from across North Carolina and represent 82 high schools, 48 counties, and six NC State academic colleges. Finalists were scored by an application review committee consisting of current and former NC State faculty, staff, and alumni, as well as industry representatives from SAS Institute and the Kenan Fellows Program. Each finalist demonstrated exceptional high school accomplishments including stellar academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, community engagement, and inspiring goals for success in STEM and education.
