Goodnight Scholars loaded up the vans and hit the road again for a week of STEM education advocacy from the mountains to coast of North Carolina.
We love STEM. Nothing about that statement should surprise you. More importantly, we love to instill our passion for STEM in others.
This past spring break, it was our privilege to share our love for all-things STEM with the students of Chase Middle School of Rutherford County and Chowan Middle School of Chowan County as part of our annual service trip affectionately dubbed “North Carolina: Mountains to Coast.”
In between classroom visits, scholars had the chance to see some of the many communities that comprise our great state. Whether it was volunteering for hurricane relief efforts with Robeson County Church and Community Center or taking in the view at Chimney Rock, the trip left scholars with a whole new perspective on what it means to be a North Carolinian, and what it’s going to take to keep North Carolina growing.
Some of our favorite pics from the week can be found on Flickr.
